The Greatest Invitation
Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior. He is the center and focus of everything we do and intend to accomplish. The Bible teaches us that “Christ is the visible image of the invisible God,” and that He existed before anything,” is “supreme over all creation,” and is the Way to heaven.
He is the savior of our lives and desires to grow and advance our lives to better live for Him, advance His Kingdom and live victoriously over every area of our personal lives.
Jesus is also the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross in our place and rose again to prove His victorious nature and exude His authority and power over the enemy.
God is a lover of people and desires for us to walk in unity with His calling and His purpose. He is the master architect of our lives and it is through His church that we begin to increase and grow closer to Him. His desire is to see you prosper and live abundantly in every aspect and area of your life. This journey begins when you accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, and choose to live according to His calling and principles. [Colossians 1:15-22 NLT]
You can start this journey today. Why wait? His plan for your life includes your desires and will radically impact everything that you set your hand to do.
Becoming a Christian is one of the most important steps you will take in your life on earth. Continue reading to learn what the Bible teaches about becoming a Christian and what it means to be a follower of Christ. This call to salvation begins with God. He initiates it by drawing us to come to Him.
“No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him …”John 6:44 (NIV)
We have a problem. Our wrong doings (sin) separates us from God, leaving us spiritually empty.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”Romans 3:23 (NIV)
It is impossible for us to find peace with God through our own efforts. Anything we try to do to obtain God’s favor or gain salvation is worthless and futile. Salvation then, is a gift from God. He offers the gift through Jesus. By laying down His life on the cross, Christ took our place and paid the ultimate price, the penalty for our sin — death. Jesus is our only way to God.
“Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” John 14:6 (NLT)
The only thing we must do is respond to God’s call.
